Welcome to Gledfield Mill

Gledfield Mill is a converted water mill sitting on the banks of the river Caron in Sutherland, Scotland. As well as being our holiday home, it is also available for rent throughout the year. These pages tell you a little about the history of the building, how we renovated it, what it is like now, something about the area and things to do as well as lots of Scottish links covering everything from ferry timetables to how to wrap a great kilt!

Even if you don’t fancy a holiday in the north of Scotland … stay a while and have fun learning all sorts of useless (and some useful) facts about Scotland.
